TAL-DAC is not an ordinary bit crusher or sample rate reducer. The plug-in is based on the TAL-Sampler sound engine. It emulates a sample recorded on a low sample rate with reduced bit depth and upsamples it to the desired host sample rate.
It's possible to choose different algorithms for the upsampling process to emulate the characteristics of different samplers. A low and high shelf EQ together with a AMP Drive in the reconstruction section allow it to approximate the sound character of different sampler AMP's. Also it is possible to emulate hot recorded signals using the input volume knob. This plug-in can be used on a wide range of audio material, but it's especially useful and authentic on drum sounds.

Comp87 MB is a multi-band compressor plug-in. In MB version of Comp87, the input signal is divided into 3 bands (Low, Mid and High) and each band is being processed separately. At the end these bands come together as a single signal and go through the 4th compressor. In addition to compressor there are saturation and stereo separation controls.
The goal was to design a compressor which is smart, fast and easy to use. Two main knobs (Compress and Ratio) control and adjust multiple internal parameters to shield the user from unnecessary tweaks to threshold, curve, gain, makeup, attack and release. Although most controls are included to keep the flexibility.
Two frequency separators, Low-Mid (LMF) and Mid-High (MHF), control the frequencies in which the signal is being split in 3. The original VirtualSoundStage from Parallax is an algorithmic reverb effect that displays a bird’s eye view of a typical concert hall. Positioning the cursor in this virtual room produces a reverberation reaction corresponding to the placement of the sound source in this position in the stereopanoram. There were also options for adjusting sound absorption, adding pre-delay, changing the reflection ratio, and some filter elements for more experienced users. But what we really wanted in VSS was the ability to send several tracks to one instance of the plugin and put several virtual cursors together. And also would not give up more room available.
Version 2 finally opens the possibility to connect several instruments, which allows you to route more individual tracks and arrange them sequentially in one window. Unfortunately, you still need one instance of VSS2 per track to set up this routing.
New premises (available only in the Pro version) include an additional concert hall, two orchestral stages, a recording studio, an opera stage, a hall (for sounding “chamber music”), a church and a cathedral. You can even use the Free Field option in VSS2 as a direct replacement for panning in your workstation.
And that is not all. Currently, a considerable number of installations for virtual microphones are available, emulating traditional scenic subsonic schemes, including the development of Decca Tree. Individual microphones in each setup can also be moved around the scene as you see fit. VSS2 also comes with a lot of presets that can be easily used with some of the best orchestral ROMplers available on the market (Vienna Instruments, East West, Project SAM, etc.)

As you will probably know, a modulator is a term that is used in synthesizers. There are various types of settings that can change and alter a sound. With RP-AMOD you can use it's modulators to alter your audio in different ways.
